Warsaw Central Station (Warszawa Centralna) is the main train station in the capital of Poland. If you will be arriving there by train from the airport or another city, you might want to leave your baggage at the station and explore Warsaw lightly. Warsaw Central Station luggage storage is offered by left luggage office and Warsaw Central Station lockers.
Both, left luggage office and lockers are located on the underground level of Warszawa Centralna building. Locating them is not difficult as you just need to get down by escalator from the main hall to Level -1.
Warsaw Central Station Luggage Storage Office
Warsaw Central Station Left luggage office was previously operated by PKP Intercity and was open 24 hours.
It was possible to store your luggage at a left luggage office for a maximum of 10 days. You need to describe the contents of your luggage when leaving it there. When describing the contents of your luggage, be aware that you cannot store money and particularly valuable objects, identity documents, animals or dangerous items here, so you might be refused storage if any of these will be listed in the description.
Warsaw Central Station luggage storage price previously was 10 PLN per piece per day for any size of the luggage. Leaving one piece of luggage there was cheaper than using the lockers. However, lockers can fit several pieces in one compartment, making it a better deal when traveling in group.
Your luggage could be stored at left luggage office for a maximum of 10 days. When collecting your luggage you needed to present a proof of storage (it will be issued at the time you leave your luggage) and pay the storage fee.
PKP Intercity Warsaw Central Station Left luggage office was closed during COVID-19 and never reopened.
In 2024, a new Warsaw Central Station luggage storage service provider called "Bag Storage" started operating at the train station. The storage room is located on level -1, next to the entrance to Zlote Tarasy shopping center (unit N31).
The new luggage storage at Warszawa Centralna is open from 9:00 to 21:00, with an exception of Sundays, when it is open from 10:00 to 20:00.
Warsaw Central Station Lockers
On the same level of Warszawa Centralna train station building you can also find a big number of automatic luggage lockers that are available 24 hours. Lockers come in 4 sizes and the price of storage depends on the size of the locker.
Luggage storage price 2025 at Warsaw Central Station lockers:
- Small locker – 15 PLN / 24 hours
- Big locker – 20 PLN / 24 hours
- Golf-type locker – 20 PLN / 24 hours
- Skier-type locker – 20 PLN / 24 hours
Depending on the size of your luggage, you might fit several of them in one locker so it would come cheaper than paying for every piece at left luggage office.
Payment for the storage at lockers can be made in cash or by contactless credit or debit card. The locker machine accepts 1, 2, 5 Polish Zloty coins only and doesn’t give a change so using it might look tricky if you don’t have plenty of coins in your pocket. However, there is a machine exchanging 10 and 20 Polish Zloty banknotes into coins roughly in the center of locker area. You should notice arrows pointing to it.
As Warsaw Central Station luggage storage at the left luggage office is no longer available 24 hours, if you need to store or pick up your baggage out of working hours, using Warsaw Central Station lockers is your only option.
Luggage Storage near Warsaw Central Station
During usual opening hours, you can also use the service of luggage storage at Zlote Tarasy shopping center, which is adjacent to Warsaw Central Station.
Zlote Tarasy luggage storage is located on Level -1, next to the main escalators.
Luggage storage price charged is for the whole day and is the following:
- Small luggage (hand luggage) - 7 PLN / piece
- Medium luggage - 9 PLN / piece
- Large luggage - 12 PLN / piece
- Clothing - 6 PLN / piece
If you are going to store just one piece of luggage and able to pick it up during the opening hours of shopping center, it will be cheaper than using Warsaw Central Station luggage storage lockers.
Zlote Tarasy luggage storage opening hours:
- Monday - Saturday: 9:00 - 22:00
- Sunday: 9:00 - 21:00

Tips

You can take a direct train from Warsaw Airport to Warszawa Centralna and store your luggage there instead of leaving it at the airport.
