Currency Exchange Rates in Nice City Center

If you will be visiting Nice and looking for the best place to exchange your foreign currency in the southern city France, your best bet would be finding a money changer in the city center as exchange rates at the train station are really bad. Let's see how good currency exchange rates are they offering in Nice City Center.

Money Changers in Nice City Center

When we were looking for the place to exchange currency in the touristy area of Nice, we found several money changers in Nice City Center with the biggest concentration of currency exchange offices located on the Avenue Jean Medecin. However, we have visited only one of them to compare city center's exchange rates with the ones offered at Nice-Ville Train Station.

In the center of Nice we've visited BNC Change currency exchange office located at 17 Av. Jean Medecin, Nice. Contrary to the currency exchange at Nice Train Station, this money changer is charging no commission on top of the advertised rate making it a more trustworthy place to exchange your foreign currency in Nice.

Is currency exchange in Nice worth it?

Well, in Nice City Center you can get much better currency exchange rates than at Nice Train Station. If you are choosing between exchange at the airport or train station and exchange in the city, you should stick to exchanging your money in the center of Nice.

If you are planning to exchange one of the leading foreign currencies such as USD, CHF or GBP, you might find these rates competitive, especially if your home bank's charges for international withdrawals are high.

Bringing other currencies to exchange here might not be the best idea as the less popular foreign currency, the worse exchange rate you can expect. In such cases withdrawing Euro from ATM might be a better option.

Tips

To get the best exchange rate on your withdrawals in different currencies, make sure to use the card from Wise.
