Bus from Kaunas Airport KUN to Kaunas Center – 29G

Kaunas Airport (KUN) is Lithuania’s second largest international airport located near Kaunas. You can easily reach the city by taking a public bus from Kaunas Airport to city center.

Bus Stop at Kaunas Airport

Kaunas Airport is not a big one so finding the bus stop won’t be difficult there. Just turn left after getting out from the terminal building and you will notice a sheltered bus stop about 40 m away.

There is only one public bus route connecting Kaunas airport with city center, which is located about 14 km from the airport. Public bus 29G runs all the way from the airport to Kaunas Railway Station and passes the center of Kaunas on the way.

Kaunas Airport Bus Schedule

Kaunas Airport Bus 29G from the airport to the city center runs from 4:40 to 23:40 on weekdays and from 5:03 to 23:40 on weekends and national holidays. The frequency of the bus is about every 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the time of the day.

There’s also an extra night bus on this route that stops at less bus stops along the way. This bus leaves Kaunas Airport at 1:10 daily.

The journey from the airport to Kaunas Railway Station takes about 40-50 minutes. It takes about 10 minutes less to reach the city center.

From Kaunas City Center to the airport Bus 29G runs from 3:49 to 22:43 on weekdays and from 4:13 to 22:42 on weekends and national holidays.

Kaunas Airport Bus Ticket Price

Bus tickets for the trip from Kaunas Airport to the city center can be purchased from the bus driver. Kaunas Airport Bus ticket price is 1 EUR for a single journey. Only cash can be used for buying a ticket on the bus. Make sure to have coins or small banknote for payment as the driver might not have change if large banknote will be given.

When flying to Kaunas Airport but planning to stay in Vilnius, you can take Bus 29G to the bus station or railway station and get a bus or train to Vilnius from there.
