Country's largest airport is serving all its intercontinental flights and a majority of international flights, so there’s a big chance that you will be landing at KBP Airport. If you are planning to get some local currency (Ukrainian Hryvnia - UAH) here, check how good currency exchange rates at Kiev Airport are.

Money Changers at Kiev Airport

Most of international flights arrive and depart at Terminal D of Kyiv Boryspil Airport (KBP). This terminal was the place where we did our little research. There are a number of currency exchange booths right after passing customs on the “Arrivals” level. Taking a quick look was enough

Even taxi drivers who were offering us a ride to the center of Kiev warned us not to exchange currency at the airport and suggested better to do it in the center. It says a lot!

Foreign Exchange Rates at Kiev Airport

You can easily save an amount equal to a taxi ride from the airport to the city when skipping money changers at Kiev Airport and exchanging your money in the center of Kiev.

We paid 530 UAH for our taxi ride all the way to Maidan Square. We would be losing such an amount if exchanging at the airport as little as 116 EUR. Currency exchange at Kiev Boryspil Airport (KBP) sounds like a robbery? Well, it is!
