Money Changer at Prague Airport
At the time of our visit to Prague Airport’s Terminal 1, we’ve found the only money changer there - Interchange. Interchange has two branches there as one is located at the arrivals and the second in transit zone.
Interchange currency exchange booths at Prague Airport’s Terminal 1 are open daily from 06:00 to 23:00.
The same company operates two branches at Terminal 2 of Prague Airport as well. One of them is open 24x7 so if you badly need to exchange your money late at night, you need to look for a money changer at Terminal 2.
Foreign Exchange Rates at Prague Airport
Foreign exchange rates at Prague Airport are far from good as there’s no competition around. Interchange offers fairer exchange rates for currency collection bookings made online but it’s hardly of any use for an ordinary traveler because you can find better exchange rates in the city without any prior booking.
As you can get much better currency exchange rates in the city of Prague, you shouldn’t exchange your money at the airport or to exchange there as little as you would need for getting into the city.
How bad foreign exchange rates can be expected at Prague Airport?
USD to CZK exchange rate at Prague Airport
The official USD exchange rate on the day of our visit was 23.214 CZK for 1 US Dollar, so the rate offered at PRG airport (16.609 CZK/USD) was even by 6.605 CZK lower than the exchange rate at the market. For every dollar exchanged at the airport you’re losing about 0.285 USD or as much as 28.5 USD per 100 USD. Losing 28.5% of your money just for exchanging it is more like a legal robbery than foreign exchange.
EUR to CZK exchange rate at Prague Airport
The official EUR exchange rate at the time was 25.745 CZK for 1 Euro, so the rate offered by Interchange at Prague Airport (18.298 CZK/EUR) was by 7.447 CZK lower than the market rate. For every euro exchanged at PRG airport you’re losing about 0.289 EUR or about 28.9 EUR per 100 EUR. Euro exchange rate at Prague Airport was even worse than USD exchange rate at the time of our visit.
GBP to CZK exchange rate at Prague Airport
The official GBP exchange rate on the day of our visit was 28.193 CZK for 1 Pound Sterling, so the rate offered at PRG airport (19.836 CZK/GBP) was by 8.357 CZK lower than the market rate. For every pound exchanged at the airport you’re losing about 0.296 GBP or about 29.6 GBP per 100 GBP.
Exchange rates of other currencies at Prague Airport
As you can see, exchange rates for the most popular currencies are very bad at Václav Havel Airport Prague (PRG). Foreign exchange rates for other currencies at Prague Airport in most cases are even worse.
The official PLN exchange rate at the time was 5.936 CZK for 1 Polish Zloty, so the rate offered at the airport (4.157 CZK/PLN) was by 1.779 CZK or 30% lower than the market rate.

Should you exchange money at Prague Airport?
For most of currencies money changer at Prague Airport gives exchange rates that are about 28-30% lower than the market rate. What does it mean? When exchanging here, you are losing almost one third of your hardly earned cash!
If you can survive without exchanging your money at Prague Airport, don’t exchange your foreign currency here!
