Nuremberg Airport (NUE) is the second largest international airport in Bavaria, Germany. You can easily reach the city of Nuremberg by taking a direct train from Nuremberg Airport to city center.
Nuremberg Airport Metro Station
Finding the metro station at Nuremberg Airport is easy as the way leading to it is really well signed. Just look for the sign “U” that can be easily spotted on the signboards of the airport.
Once arrived at Nuremberg Airport, pass the customs and walk directly to the exit of the terminal building. Just after leaving the terminal building, you will see metro ticket machines and the entrance to metro station will be on your left. There you will find stairs and escalator for getting down to the underground station from which the train to Nuremberg city center departs.
Train from Nuremberg Airport to City Center
There is only one metro train route for your trip from the airport into the city – U2. Depending on your exact destination, you might need to change to metro line U1 or U3 at Nuremberg Central Train Station, where all three metro lines of the city connect.
Nuremberg U2 train runs from the airport to Nuremberg City Center every 10 minutes from 4:42 to 0:44. On Saturdays and Sundays the first train departs 14 minutes later.
U2 metro line connects Nuremberg Airport with Nuremberg Central Station (Nürnberg Hauptbahnhof). The trip by train between the airport and city center takes about 12 minutes. At Nuremberg Central Train Station you can transfer to suburban trains, other metro lines, buses and trams.
Train Tickets
