Valencia Nord Train Station also known as Estació del Nord is the main railway station in Valencia, the third largest city of Spain. If you will be traveling to Valencia by train or will be flying to Valencia Airport and taking metro from there into the city, for exchanging your money to local currency you can use services of the currency exchange office at Valencia Train Station (Estació del Nord).

Valencia Main Railway Station’s currency exchange office Italo Money can be found on the right side of the station, just before the gates leading to the platforms. Here you can exchange your foreign currency to Euro (EUR).
At Italo Money exchange office you can make your currency exchange from Monday to Sunday, from 9:00 to 20:00.
According to the announcement on the website of the company running the exchange office, they do not charge commission. However, currency exchange rates at Valencia Train Station might not be as attractive as you would expect from the money changer claiming to be offering "the best exchange rate on the market".
Please be noted that on their website you will find the current exchange rates on the market that are not available at the exchange office as they mention that "Market reference values are not valid for exchange".

To know how good or bad currency exchange rates at Valencia Train Station are, we will compare the rates offered by Italo Money exchange office with the mid-market rates on the day of our visit to Estació del Nord.
USD to EUR exchange rate at Valencia Train Station
The mid-market USD exchange rate on the day of our visit was 0.96 EUR for 1 US Dollar, so the rate offered at train station (0.87 EUR/USD) was by 0.09 EUR or 9.4% lower than the exchange rate at the market.
Exchange rate at Valencia Railway Station was not as bad as we have seen in some other railway stations in Europe but you can really get better deals for currency exchange elsewhere.
GBP to EUR exchange rate at Valencia Train Station
The mid-market GBP exchange rate on the day of our visit was 1.15 EUR for 1 Pound Sterling, so the rate offered at the main railway station of Valencia (1.045 EUR/GBP) was by 1.05 EUR or 9.1% lower than the market rate.
Exchange rate might be better than you usually can get at the airport but your home country currency exchange office should be able to offer exchange rate hardly worse than this.
Exchange rates of other currencies at Valencia Train Station
Exchange rates for the most popular currencies at Valencia Railway Station are not that good but for less popular foreign currencies expect to get even worse exchange rates.
The mid-market CHF exchange rate at the time was 1.01 EUR for 1 Swiss Franc, so the rate offered at Valencia Train Station (0.87 EUR/CHF) was by 0.14 EUR or about 13.9% lower than the market rate.
The mid-market CAD exchange rate at the time was 0.72 EUR for 1 Canadian Dollar, so the rate offered at the railway station (0.61 EUR/CAD) was by 0.11 EUR or about 15.3% lower than the market rate.
The mid-market PLN exchange rate at the time was 0.21 EUR for 1 Polish Zloty, so the rate offered at the train station (0.162 EUR/PLN) was by 0.048 EUR or 22.9% lower than the market rate. However, the less popular the currency is, the worse exchange rate you can expect at this exchange office.
